about

This is my first new material since 2017, but before brazen accusations of slacking off are hurled my way, like cruel tennis balls, let me just stop you right there. I've been engaged in collaborative projects, particularly a synth-pop/rock long-distance group, Red Sun Raygun (redsunraygun.bandcamp.com), and an electronic-focused-but-actually-still-quite-guitary project, Turn Pro (turnpro.bandcamp.com). With these projects I've released a bunch of tracks. Much fun was had, and I think my compadres and I made some super cool tunes!

I've also just generally been amassing a load of in-progress material. And so, as my hard-drive is now gasping for air and begging for mercy, I figured it's probably time to get back in the saddle and release something new of my own.

Lord knows I love a bit of crash-bang-wallop widdly-widdly-woo guitar shenanigans. It's my bread and butter for god's sake! But synths! Synths I say! So much fun, so little time. This new song, and the series of singles that shall follow, therefore, feature a leaning more towards the synthy side of things. Although actually, thinking about it, there's still a lot of guitar. Quite a lot, in fact. Never mind! Forget I said anything!

lyrics

Lyrics:

Show skin
In the sun
To sink teeth
Into

To hang on to you

I know you
Hear me
I hear
You too

Does the world
Move through
You?

Show skin
In the sun
To sink teeth
Into

To hang on to you

All we do
Is lament
That there ain't nothing
To do

To hang on to you
